1960 Class Song
(Tune: "America the Beautiful")
Monessen High, we leave thee nigh;
The years have gone by so,
Our High School days, the friends we made--
Are all about to go.
We can't forget our football games,
The prom or Senior Play,
The classes and our knowledge gained,
Or beauty on May Day.
We've had this year some smiles and tears,
Inside these hallowed halls,
Tho we are gone, our voices strong,
Will echo from the walls.
We thank our teachers everyone,
For all the help untold,
Now we are grown; we're on our own:
Our future they helped mold.
The Class of '60 did excel,
All classes that have gone,
Through gifts we bought and honors sought,
Our memory lives on.
Monessen High, we bid farewell,
We say good-bye to thee,
And with the lines, "Who Searches Finds,"
The Class of '60 leaves!
